As it is now officially 3 weeks until I am home with my family, I have started to reflect back on the past 7 months, especially the past few months here in Kenya. Through my reminiscing my team and I came up with a list of fun memories.
– Fort night
– Dance party at Sarasa
– Ryan getting power washed
– Kyle riding the back of a loadie
– Love notes received at church just like back in middle school
– Ryan riding a cow
– Having guests over and pretty much falling asleep talking to them at 9pm
– Dancing and worshiping at the crusade in Busia
– Baking a cake without an oven
– Running and then worshiping in the rain
– Held hostage by the rain
– Roni tripping while we were running
– Peeing with the monkeys
– All the booda booda drivers that stare at our legs as we go on a morning run
– Cooking the best homemade pizza ever
– Winning the March Madness Bracket
– Eight girls sleeping in the tiniest room possible
– It is not a morning or an evening if the neighbor boy does not scream or cry
– Getting asked “how are you?” or told “I am fine” a billion times a day
– “Getting low” during worship
– People are surprised we can wash our own clothes…matter of fact that we can do anything
– Abraham (our night watchmen) not remembering any of the girls’ names and just calling us Madame
– All the weird things we are called because people can’t pronounce our names…example instead of Audrey they say “A-tree”
– David Brown
– Re-watching all of the Star Wars Episodes
– Camping along the Nile River
– Rafting and kayaking the Nile River
– Preaching
– An African Wedding
– Getting malaria
– Killing a frog while evangelizing
So now when I am home and you want to hear some fun stories and I can’t remember any we can just come to this list.
